2XL & 3XL Shirt Pricing

Our costs have slightly increased on 2XL and 3XL shirts so unfortunately we had to raise the price increase by $0.50, so now they are $2.50 extra. We apologize for the inconvenience, we just need to cover our costs.

While I have no real issue with ShirtADay raising rates on this type of thing (I don’t like, it, but that’s inflation/cost of doing business, etc).

No…my rant concerns why those of us that sport a 2 or 3 ‘XL’ designation have to pick up all of the costs of those larger than a small. Seriously - it takes more fabric to go from Small to Medium, from Medium to Large, from Large to Extra Large - just like it does to go from Extra Large to 2XL and 2XL to 3XL, yet all of the associated costs are rolled up and place on the shoulders of the 2XL and 3XL people. Now, those may be broad shoulders (hence the order of the larger shirt), but why the hell should we make up all the different, why doesn’t each shirt size cost increasingly more by, say, $0.50?

While I’m on the size subject….why are brick and mortar retailers so dumb that they place the shirts on shelves, top to bottom, with sizes, smallest to largest, respectively? I mean, shirt size doesn’t necessarily equate to height, but it’s much more likely than have the worlds tallest folks wanting the smallest shirt and the shortest folks looking to fill out their giant gumball form with the largest size available. C’mon people, pull your heads out of your respective asses (or your neighbor’s ass, as the case may be).

    Rant complete.

    End of line.

We completely agree with you… it’s not fair. We’ve tried to get discounts on size Small & Medium shirts vs. Large & XL but our suppliers just won’t do it for us…. They say it has to do with the fact that they sell the most Larges & XL’s so while the fabric cost may be lower, quantities are smaller due to lower demand and therefore prices are higher… but we know that the shirt suppliers and manufacturers are just making an extra buck or what not off the little guys and there really isn’t much that we can do about it.
